ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR ENTRIES 1996 Loebner Prize Contest - $2000 and a medal The 1996 Loebner Prize Competition in Artificial Intelligence will be held Friday, April, 19, 1996 in New York City. A prize of $2000 and a bronze medal will be awarded to the individual or group whose computer entry is judged "most human." The rules for the 1996 competition are the same as for the 1995 competition with the following exceptions: 1. The Grand Prize of $100,000 will not be at risk. (*) (*) In order to win the Grand Prize, an entry in the contest must be prepared to deal with audio-visual input. Anyone wishing to submit a computer entry having the capability to respond to a/v input in a "human" manner should notify the Project Director, Hugh Loebner loebner@acm.org. 2.
